Relief for Knee Pain
When you encounter any injury or accident, you must take action in order to reduce the pain as much as possible.
You may use the RICE method.
What is the RICE method?
Follow these steps and you should reduce your knee pain significantly.
‘R’ stands for rest. You must sit down and clean the injury. Keep in mind if you suffered a major injury, it is recommended to go to the hospital for care rather than home treatment.
‘I’ stands for ice. Put ice over your knees once you have cleaned the injury. The blood flow should be reduced so putting ice over your knee will accomplish this.
‘C’ is for compression. To reduce the swelling, you must warp your knee – ensure it is not too tight.
‘E’ stands for elevation. You must elevate your knee.

Do not take medicines without a doctor’s supervision because you might do more damage than good.
The orthopedic physician can teach you effective exercises and methods that can ease the pain of the injury.
The best thing you can do with a knee injury is stay off it as much as possible. You will need to exercise your knee is time but take it slow.
If you have seen a doctor about your knee problem, follow their advice closely.
When recuperating, take baby steps. See if you can walk short distances and increase your distances periodically. For example, try walking to the end of the driveway one and see how you feel.
After a few days and depending on the severity of your knee injury, gradually increase your distances to your neighbor’s house, to their neighbors house and so on.
The most important thing to remember when recovering from a knee injury is patience. You must be patient and avoid exhorting yourself – this will only cause more damage and hinder your healing process.
